Custom Building One Dream at a Time; Frank, a Hungarian-born Canadian, and Paula Reisner, a Czech-born Canadian were a perfect match. Their extraordinary dreams resulted in unique automobiles for the connoisseur market. Their company, Intermeccanica, is known world-wide for its custom cars. Their road to success was bumpy, but they overcame every adversity, ultimately transforming their setbacks into creative opportunities.

During 1982–1985, Intermeccanica International Inc. started production of the Roadster RS and developed markets in Canada, the U.S., and Japan. In 1985 Intermeccanica developed a new tubular chassis for the Roadster to replace the original VW pan. In 1986 Intermeccanica refined the Roadster RS, adding first simple flares, later modified nose and flares. A custom-built high-quality reproduction of the 1959 365A Convertible, featuring in-house designed and built tubular steel perimeter chassis and a Canadian made one piece composite body. The Intermeccanica Roadster RS was simply the flagship model with its timeless style and its magnificent look.

Our Intermeccanica Roadster RS is a replica of a 1959 Porsche 356A Convertible D, and it was built in 1988 Vancouver, Canada. He spent most of its time in the US, before he came to France, where he received his French title and then was relocated to Spain. The fiberglass bodywork is finished in Champagne Yellow and mounted over the mentioned steel tubular chassis, and it is powered by a 1,600-cc flat-four mounted to a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a black soft top, a bespoke tonneau cover, a Retro Sound stereo, a Porsche steering wheel, bucket seats upholstered just recently in chocolate leather, and chrome-finished 15″ steel wheels with Porsche-crest hubcaps. This Intermeccanica Roadster RS is now offered with an Intermeccanica Letter of Authenticity and a clean French Classic Car title listing the car as a 1988 Intermeccanica Roadster RS.
